Find Out What Diane's Pets Eat

What Diane's Pet Eat
Since I now make my own vegan homemade pet meals for my animal companions, I cannot believe the different in their overall health. Within three months after stopping the feeding of commercial pet food (many years ago) my animal companions continue to this day to have shiny coats that are sweet smelling and clean without any greasy or oily residue. Their breath is sweet smelling and their gums are a healthy pink color without any tartar build-up. They lost their bloated and sagging bellies. Their bowel movements don’t knock you off you feet with a horrible strong offensive odor that would drift throughout the entire house. Their bowel movements are a normal healthy texture without being overly dry, lose or runny. They are very playful, full of energy and very happy. They show a great interest in whatever I am eating and I willingly share it with them. They love to eat fresh fruits like watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew & bananas, fresh vegetables like corn, pea’s, steamed broccoli, mushroom, tomatoes, avocado’s, several varities of squash, rice and many different kinds of beans. We share homemade buttermilk pancakes dipped in yogurt. No meat pasta dishes (without onions) are a great favorite of everyone and homemade vegetarian pizza. Please be sure never to feed your animal companions onions which can be very toxic and fatal to them, especially cats because it can cause kidney failure. It’s always fun to see what new foods they want to explore. Tomato my 16 year old kitty who has suffered with severe cystitis since about 1 year old, and has gone through several operations is now free of problems. I tried several different kinds of commerical pet foods early on, including making homemade meat meals for Tomato and nothing kept him free of cystitis problems until I switched to "Vegepet" meals. Tomato is proud to say he is a vegetarian kitty along with all my others animal companions and myself.
Sometimes it will take several months to get your animal companions to twitch over to homemade vegan pet meals simply because they have become addicted to commercial pet food which taste enhancers have been added to get the animals to eat it, known as "Digest." Fish by products and chicken entrails being the most popular because of its very strong smell and taste. These are the so called "Company Secrets" which are what is used to keep our pets "hooked" on a commerical food product. And why it sometimes takes awhile to switch our pets over to homemade vegan pet meals.
I am available through phone consultations to help you through the steps of transition from commercial pet food to homemade meals. There maybe times when an animal needs additional support and help through communication and flower essences when making the switch along with trying different wholesome, natural foods used as delicious toppings to help entice them to try something new and much better for them. Once they make the switch you will see a pet that will become VERY interested in everything you eat.
My kitty Tomato took several months to make the switch where I had to slowly keep adding more of the homemade food to his old commercial food until it was all vegepet meals. But it was worth the effort because he now has no problems with his severe cystitis that has cause him to have several operations early on in his life. When Razzi joined us at 10 weeks of age he was able and willing to make the switch immediately and is the one who makes the biggest fuss a least 1 hour sometimes 2 before meal times. When little Miss Coconut came to us she was about 6 months old and I decided to try something new with her since I noticed from the first day she joined our family she was willing to try new things without any hesitation. I put down a bowl of commercial food they gave me from the shelter where I adopted her, and a bowl of vege meal and she went right for the vege meal and never even touched the commercial food. And right after finishing the bowl of the vege meal she wanted more! She is still the most curious about whatever I am eating and will reach out with her little paw asking to have a taste, and of course I always share it with her. My animal companions proudly say they are "vegetarian kitties".
***It is important that you feed your animal companions vegetarian meals that are nutritionally balanced for their specific needs. That is why I use HOANA's products www.vegepet.com because James Peden has worked with a veterinarian to make sure all his products meet the specific nutritional needs of cats and dogs. This takes the fear out of wondering if our animal companions are getting a nutritionally balanced food.
Our animals will pick up on our fear and it will cause them to become fearful also. Stay positive and willing to work through the process with your animals in a loving and caring attitude and you will see amazing results in your animals health and wellbeing.
Now my animal companions can eat the same wholesome, fresh foods as I do. I love sharing my food with them. Knowing what they eat and seeing how happy and heathly they are makes me very, very happy. They all love to help in the process of making their batches of homemade food, Tasting the ingredients along the way. I am so happy that I no longer contribute to the slaugher, pain and suffering of other animals to feed my animal companions.
One of the things that has always bothered me when I fed commerical food is the primal response of aggression that would sometimes surface. I truly believe along with many, many others that in order to raise the worlds consciousness, all species must evolve to exist without killing others. As long as we continue to kill other animal species, whether directly or indirectly as in eating their flesh which is still contributing and supporting the killing, we will never be on a spiritual journey.
There are so many animal stories that have surfaced over the years that show us how different species are coming together that would not normally do so, because one is usually the prey and the other is the predator, forming unusual and unique friendships. Once again teaching us "humans" more about life, if only we would look, watch and listen.
Our New Little Doggie "Sadira" - joined us 8-2009
Sadira loves all the great foods we eat too! She gets sooooo excited when we are preparing any meals. She had runny eyes which is common for Pomerarians, and in just two months her eyes do not run or weep at all!
Our newest furry family member: Rusty - joined us 2-2010
Rusty is a 2 1/2 year old Golden Retriever that is just a dream...And he LOVES his vegan homemade pet food. When he joined us he was about 7 pounds over weight, had the typical kibble bloat and a on-going goopy eye discharge. With 3 weeks on his new style of food, he is trim and has a beautiful rich cooper shiny coat and bright, clear eyes with no more discharge!
