Cat Litter Tips:

Swheat Scoop is our litter of choice. They now have a multi cat litter and we LOVE IT!   Add baking soda with every litter box change and throughout the month to help keep litter from sticking to the box. I love using something that is good for the environment and our lungs. You can compost the litter in your garden and flush or throw out the solid waste. Whenever I do a complete box change I rub Mushers wax into the box first and let it sit for a few minutes before adding the litter and baking soda. DO NOT use any other waxes such as car or floor wax as it is toxic to cats. 

 
Fresh Step Clumping Cat Litter can save you money. Sam's club and Costco sell 42lb bags for $14.88. Most all other stores that carry Fresh Step cat litter charge the same price for half the weight. 

Hard clumping cat litter lasts longer with less waste. When you clean the box once a month don't throw away the remaining litter in the box. Thoroughly clean the litter and put in another container while you clean and wash the litter box.

Before adding the used litter back into the box, put 1 cup of Baking Soda on the bottom of box. Baking Soda keeps the urine clumps from sticking to the box and the litter fresh smelling. You can also buy large bags of Baking Soda from Sams or CostCo also that are very in-expensive. Then add the used litter and add new litter to the desired level. Mix the litters together with the baking soda for a nice fresh inviting litter box for your kitties.

You can also add more baking soda each time you add more litter to keep the desired level of litter in the box. Your kitties will love you for it.
